Welcome to my homepage.
I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at the UAV Group of Robotics Institute (RI) of ‘Hong Kong University of Science & Technology’ (HKUST) in Hong Kong. My supervisor is Prof. Shaojie Shen in ECE Dept of the University. I am currently working on robotic vision, in particular, visual odometry and SLAM problem for UAVs. For my thesis, I am exploring the use of Deep Learning techniques for perception. If you are looking for brief summary of my thesis go here.
I am familiar and have hands-on experience with 3D geometry, stereo vision, place recognition, object detection. I mostly do computer programs with C++ or Python. Some other packages that I am familiar include, OpenCV, ROS, Eigen, Ceres-solver, Keras/Tensorflow. For my opensource contribution, have a look at my Github profile.
Before joining HKUST I worked at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland. I was working with the Alice Offline group. Part of my project was optimization and parallelization of AliRoot. AliRoot is a framework for analysis of LHC data for Alice Experiment. You can visit my CERN profile at [WWW].
I have completed my Undergraduate (Bachelors of Technology) from The LNM Institute of Information Technology (LNMIIT), Jaipur, India in May 2012 in Communication and Computer Engineering (CCE).
